The Feast of Mary Ward was celebrated on 30th January 2026 with devotion and joy. Sister Pushpa Ekka welcomed the gathering, followed by the Holy Eucharist celebrated by His Lordship Archbishop Vincent Aind of Ranchi Diocese, along with Rev. Fr. Ajit Kumar Xess, SJ, Provincial of Ranchi Province, Rev. Fr. Eustace Khalkho, Parish Priest of All Saints Church, Doranda, and other co-celebrants. Sisters, children with parents, staff along with their family members, invited guests and parishioners were part of the celebration.
In his sermon, Archbishop Vincent Aind spoke on courage and faith, citing the examples of Hannah, Jesus Christ, and Mary Ward. He highlighted Mary Ward’s courage, deep faith, and her strong belief in education as a powerful force for social transformation.
The Loreto Sisters renewed their vows, and the Friends of Mary Ward took an oath of commitment. After the Mass, the Archbishop was wished on his birthday and honoured with a token of gratitude. The celebration concluded joyfully with appreciation for the dedicated service of the Loreto Sisters, followed by a fellowship meal.
