Description: The school gathered in the auditorium to play homage to its foundress Mary Ward on her death anniversary.
The programme began with the lighting of the lamp. students of classes
VI-IX presented a skit depicting the journey of Mary Ward,the difficulties she had came to be regarded
as a rolemodel for all women. The prayer service was followed by a powerpoint presentation, prepared by Sister Greta.
The presentation was a fitting tribute to the life and achievement of Mary Ward. Sr. Carmella
ended theprogramme by giving the children the message to listen to the voice of God calling out.
There wasa quiz competition on the life and work of Mary Ward. Shakespeare House stood first in the quiz,
Tagore House second and Gandhi House came third.
Prizes were given away for various other competitions organised earlier on in the week.
The winners of the drawing competition were given prizes by BPCL.
Students of classes VI-VIII received prizes for the bookmark making competition held on the 29th of Jan.
Students from classes IX and XI received their prizes for creative writing based on the maxims of Mary Ward.
At the end of the day students observed a 2 min silence in order to mark the death anniversary of the Father of the Nation,
Mahatma Gandhi.
