World Earth Day, an annual event, was first celebrated on April 22nd, 1970 and is now co-ordinated globally by the Earth Day Network in more than 192 countries each year.
In order to pay tribute to the mother Earth the Members of Nature club from class VII B presented a special assembly wherein they focused on the causes and ill-effects of deforestation, increase in population, global warming, misuse of natural resources, etc. They performed a skit guiding pupils how to save our mother earth. They also told the school the importance of the three Rs i.e Reduce, Recycle and Reuse.
