Description: LORETO CONVENT SCHOOL, Senior section presented its Annual Concert "Samartha" on 14th October 2015. The evening commenced with a melodious welcome song by students of class X.
A hindi translation of Rabindranath Tagore's 'Chandalika' performed by the students of classes VI,VII & VIII and George Bernard Shaw's famous English play 'Pygmalion', staged by the students of class IX were spectacular productions, combining music, dance,drama,oration and multimedia presentation . The audience was captivated by the colourful and traditional lavani,bihu and nagpuri dances, performed by class XIs and the melodious song by classes XII.
The concert not only provided students an opportunity to showcase individual talent but also value based education which is essential in preparing youngsters to take on the task of nation building and so our concert sends out a strong message of equality, affirmation and respect to the dignity of every human person especially those ostracized by society, The spectacular evening came to a close with the speech of the chief guest of 14.10.15 evening Mr. Raj Kumar Prasad Singh D.E.O vote of thanks by the Principal, Sr. Anjuman Gidh, The Grand Finale and the Loreto chorus. The entire evening was appreciated and enjoyed by all!
