Description: ICSE/ISC Zonal Basketball Tournament 2015-16.
Today 7th of September the winners and runners up of Basketball
tournament were felicitated in the assembly. St.Xavier's School,Doranda
hosted the ICSE/ISC Zonal Basketball Tournament on the 5th and 6th of
September,2015.
It was conducted in two groups i.e, Jr.group comprising classes IX and
X; and senior group comprising classes XI and XII. Various ICSE schools
of Ranchi zone participated in the tournament.
In the junior group the matches were as follow:-
1.League Match-The league match had 4 teams in each pool. Pool A had
participants from Bishop Westcott Girls' School, Doranda;
St.Anthony's,Doranda; Bishop Westcott Girls' school, Namkum; Loreto
Convent,Doranda.The team of Loreto Convent, Doranda defeated all the
other teams in their pool.
2.Semi-final Match-In semi-finals the players of Loreto Convent had to
face the players of Carmel school, Samlong.Loreto Convent won the
semi-finals and went for the finals.
3.Final Match-The final match was between Loreto Convent, Doranda and
Bishop Hartman Academy, Aragate. Loreto Convent was the winner with 27
points whereas the opponent team scored 21 points.
In the Senior group the participants of Loreto Convent, Doranda faced
the participants of Bishop Hartman Academy and won the Match.The Final
Match was between St.Xavier's, Doranda and Loreto Convent,
Doranda.Loreto Convent was the 1st runner up.
The following students of Loreto Convent have been selected for the
Regional Tournament:-
