Inter-School Rangoli & Eco-Friendly Model Making Competition

In keeping with the Seventh MDG (Environmental Sustainability) a Competition was held in Loreto Convent, Ranchi where Models were prepared and presented by 10 different schools of Ranchi. The ten schools were as follows:- JVM Shyamali, DPS, Sacred Heart Hulhundu, Bishop Westcott Boys School Namkum, Bishop Westcott Girls School Namkum, Bishop Westcott Girls School Doranda, Bishop's School, Bahu Bazaar, St. Anthony's School Doranda, St. Xavier's School Doranda, Loreto Convent Ranchi. In keeping with the "Spirit of India" the above schools also presented "Rangoli". Other than the participants and the teachers from the above mentioned schools, there were a number of guests from Senegal and France. The judges for the competition were:- Fr. Seby D’souza, Mrs. Adiara Sy and Mrs. Bela Mohan. Mrs. Savita Mishra welcomed the distinguished guests who were ushered in the traditional way by the staff and students of the school. The winners were as follows:- For Rangoli – 1st-DPS, 2nd- Bishop Westcott Girls School, Doranda and 3rd- St. Xavier's School, Doranda. For Models- 1st- St. Anthony's School, 2nd- Bishop Westcott Girls School, Doranda and 3rd- Loreto Convent, Doranda.
